I can't believe that today is Thrive Reiki's 6th anniversary!
When Reiki practice found me and started my personal journey of self-healing in 2015, I never thought that crises would grow my capacity for clarity, calmness, and courage. Since opening Thrive Reiki on February 1, 2016, I learned that when sh*t happens, shift can happen. I discovered that THRIVE stands for Transformation, Healing, Relaxation, Integrity, Values and Empowerment.
Our bodies have an inner GPS, a built-in survival mechanism, the innate ability to heal, regenerate and rejuvenate.
But daily life takes its toll. It leaves many tired, tense and terrified – and under the constant attack of stress hormones racing through the brain and body, making it difficult to relax, rest and recover. Yet, when you’re calm and well-rested, dealing with life feels less taxing. My client Alisa describes this process so beautifully: “I felt a real shift in how I was feeling. The best way to explain it is that I feel like the best version of myself: Happier, more energetic, less worried, healthier and suddenly life is easier to deal with.”
Life is always going to throw a curveball. That’s life happening – on life’s terms. Whether it’s the pandemic, cancer, other health scares and diagnoses, the loss of a loved one, relationship, or a job, shattered hopes and dreams, and other examples of sh*t happening, I have experienced that challenges can be foundations for change, that obstacles can turn into opportunities, that pain can be transformed into personal power.
Relaxation quiets the mind, restores the body, and makes us feel human again.
Relaxation is a necessity, not a luxury. It requires awareness, boundaries and compassion, the ABC of self-care. Reiki treatments are just one way to return to balance, to harmonize body, mind and spirit. The greatest gift that Reiki practice has given me is resilience, the ability to deal with difficult situations and continue to move forward.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. And thank you for showing up for yourself and for others, despite the challenges and curveballs life is throwing your way.
Not sure you can do this on your own? You don’t have to. In my new course Navigating Uncertainty, which starts on February 22, 2022, we will
• connect with our inner GPS
• find the inner strength to not be knocked off-course by surprise events
• learn how to maintain a sense of inner safety, peace and calm
