Are you paving your own path? Or do you prefer to follow others? Do you know your nature? Your natural inclinations and skills? What makes you YOU?
Since moving into my own practice space (some call it the Thrive Sanctuary), I’ve been slowing down more, stepping back. I needed time to settle in, process, and integrate. Change is exciting, scary and can often feel overwhelming – even when it’s wonderful.
But in slowing down, nurturing my own nature (I’m someone who needs a lot of alone time to recover and reset her energy), I’ve also been stepping up more.
As a result, I’ve been able to accomplish so much more. The funny thing is... overwhelm doesn’t lead to clarity or productivity. Knowing this for myself, I do everything in my power to avoid overwhelm.
On some days, I go for walks to recalibrate, and come back to my alignment. On others I read novels. This past holiday weekend I binged on AppleTV’s show WeCrashed. Even when I don’t seem to be doing anything “productive”, I nurture my nature…
I remember that I’m a Human Being, not a Human Doing. And as I do so, I pave my own path - for my life and my work. Because when I’m out of alignment, my body tells me right away, by tensing up and cranking up the volume on my pain points.
When you go against yourself, your body will let you know, sooner or later.
The next time you feel tense, ask yourself: What do I need right now? It may be a walk. It may be a call. It may be a Reiki session. Listen to yourself - and you’ll find the answers.
Not sure you can do this on your own? You don’t have to. Let's connect!! I’d love to hear about your situation and see if I can help.
