As 2021 is coming to an end, it's time to let go...
... to let go of all the should-haves, could-haves, would-haves that have accumulated this year - and that are screaming so loudly during this holiday season. Yesterday's Solstice marked the beginning of a new cycle and is energetically more significant than the turn of a calendar year.
We're living through a time of great change. It's uncomfortable. It's unpleasant. It requires a lot of stamina, inner strength, resilience, and strong immunity. It also requires a great deal of awareness and educated decisions.
Life waits not for your understanding. It calls for your appreciation. ~ Alan Cohen
This year I have been diving into self-responsibility and deepening my understanding of self-care. I formulated the ABC of Self-Care, which I define as Awareness, Boundaries, and Compassion. And as I'm now taking the time to pause and be still, to recharge my own batteries, I'll also be reflecting on the energy I want to carry into 2022.
Here are some questions that I'll be thinking about and playing with, maybe you find them helpful too:
- What have been my biggest lessons in 2021?
- How would I like to experience 2022?
- What are my priorities and core values?
- What am I willing to let go of?
As we transition (or are thrown) into new developments, new journeys, new lessons, and challenges, be kind with yourself, gentle. Nurture yourself - inside and out. Check your joy-meter: what brings you joy and what moves you from it. If you're interested, Dr. Brian Yodice and I will start HEALTH-CHANGER, a free workshop series to help you live your best life on March 8, 2022. Send me an email to be added to the waiting list.
May the holidays and new year be filled with joy, health & well-being for you and your loved ones - and may you be more and more connected with yourself.
