Note from Andrea:
I have invited some of my clients and students to share their Reiki experiences, so that you can also can hear their perspectives and stories. Joe was the first to follow my invitation and wrote a lovely poem, Dear Reiki. Check it out, if you haven't read it yet. But now I invite you to enjoy what Barbara shares with us.
I have been practicing Transcendental Meditation for about fifty years on and off, so when I learned that there was an informational meeting at the Crestwood Library about Reiki, I was naturally interested.
At Andrea’s session, I experienced such peace and tranquility and decided to look into this further. I read a couple of books that Andrea had recommended and knew that this was a practice about which I needed to learn more.
I subsequently began training with Andrea and became a Reiki practitioner and it has been the most amazing journey. My life has gotten very stressful in the past two years, becoming a caregiver for my 92-year-old mom, and Reiki has been my drug, so to speak. I can just carve out a little slice of heaven during the day to feed my soul.
Self-healing and sharing Reiki with others is a beautiful practice which promotes calm, resiliency and compassion. I share Reiki with my mom and she looks forward to our sessions.......she feels more peaceful afterwards.
Andrea has been a most amazing, intuitive and thoughtful teacher. Her energy during a Reiki session is palpable and you can feel it follow her around the room as she moves. She is a caring, loving and accepting person and one couldn’t find a better teacher or practitioner. I consider myself very blessed that our paths crossed, especially at this time in my life. I’m excited to begin training with Andrea in the next couple of months for Reiki Level II.
